1. During the festival, the best short films will be selected by a special committee, composed of experts from the artistic and audiovisual fields.

2. The selected pieces presented in Lakino: Latin American Short Film Festival Berlin will be eligible for the following prizes: 

2.1. The Jury Award to the Best Short Film "Official Competition"
- Monetary Prize: 1.000€

2.2. The Audience Award to the Best Short Film "Official Competition"

2.3. The Jury Award to the Best Short Film "Documentary"
- Monetary Prize: 500€
- Translation of the script into German by the translation agency In Kult

2.4. The Audience Award to the Best Short Film "Documentary"

3. A given short can be selected by both the Jury and the Audience to be the Best Short Film for both categories.

4. Winners will be announced during the closing ceremony and on our website.

1. Lakino: Latin American Short Films Festival will appoint the jury that will be responsible for the selection of the winning short films.

2. The jury will be composed of leading figures from the artistic and audiovisual fields. These individuals will have no relation to or association with the participating shorts in the official competition.

This year the Jury will be composed of:
