Oscuro animal cuenta la historia de un viaje desde la selva a la ciudad de tres mujeres que deben escapar del acoso de la guerra rural colombiana. Oscuro Animal erzählt von drei Frauen, die aus ihrem Heimatort in einer vom Krieg zerrütteten ländlichen Region Kolumbiens fliehen müssen. Dem Wunsch nach einem besseren Leben folgend, begeben sich die Frauen – jede auf ihre Weise – auf eine von Angst und Schrecken gezeichnete Reise, die aus dem kolumbianischen Urwald in den Großstadt-Dschungel Bogotás führt, wo jede von ihnen die Kraft finden muss, ein neues Leben zu beginnen.
